Richmond Party Bus & Charter Bus Rentals
Richmond sits right off I-75 at Exits 87 and 90 — just about 26 miles south of Lexington and a straight 30-minute shot up the interstate. That location is the whole story for local groups: close enough to Lexington's biggest venues to make a night at Rupp Arena or a Keeneland race day easy, but far enough that driving yourself means fighting downtown traffic and paying for a garage. lexingtonpartybuscompany.com makes finding a bus in Richmond fast: fill out one quick form and compare vehicles and rates from providers serving Madison County in seconds.

Find the Richmond Bus Amenities You Want
Not every Richmond group trip calls for the same bus. A 25-passenger party bus headed up I-75 to a Distillery District night in Lexington typically comes loaded with color-changing LED lighting, a full-length bar, wraparound perimeter seating, flat-panel TVs, and Bluetooth sound — the energy is built right in before you clear Exit 90. A minibus shuttling wedding guests between a downtown Richmond venue and a reception near Lake Reba is a better match for plush reclining seats, strong A/C, and clean overhead storage.
For longer runs — say, a full charter from Richmond out to a UK football Saturday at Kroger Field and back — a 56-passenger charter bus with onboard restrooms and undercarriage luggage bays keeps the group comfortable for the full round trip without any pit-stop scramble.
Amenities vary by vehicle and provider. The quote form lets you filter by what matters most to your group.
Air-conditioning
Wraparound Leather Seats
AUX / Bluetooth Sound System
LED and Fiber Optic Lighting
Built-in Bar Areas With Storage and Cup Holders

Amenities listed above are common features that MAY be available on party buses. Exact features vary by vehicle, provider, and availability. After you submit your quote request, you can browse vehicle options, pricing, and available details on the results page. To confirm the exact amenities included with a specific vehicle offered for your trip, call 859-347-4240 before booking.

A Better Way to Rent a Party Bus in Richmond
Because you're not limited to one fleet. lexingtonpartybuscompany.com pulls in options from multiple providers serving Richmond and the broader Lexington region — so instead of committing to whatever one company happens to have available, you see the full picture: different bus sizes, different amenity sets, different price points, all in one place.
The quote process takes about a minute. You enter your date, headcount, and pickup and drop-off locations, and you immediately get vehicles with pictures and pricing. No account, no obligation, no waiting for a callback.
If you'd rather talk through the options — or if your trip has moving parts like multiple pickup points, a tight timeline, or a very large group — call 859-347-4240 any day of the year to build a custom quote around your exact situation. Whether you're moving 14 people to a Keeneland race day or coordinating a multi-bus EKU homecoming shuttle around campus, the site makes it easy to find what you need and get on the road. That's the whole idea.
Party Bus Services Built for Richmond Groups
From airport transfers and game-day runs to Rupp Arena, to wedding shuttles, bachelorette nights, prom, concert transportation, corporate shuttles, and school field trips — whatever brings your group together in Richmond or anywhere across Madison County and the Lexington area, there's a bus available to compare. Call 859-347-4240 to get started.

Richmond Airport Shuttles & Transportation
Blue Grass Airport (LEX) sits about 35 miles northwest of Richmond — roughly 40 to 50 minutes up I-75 North to New Circle Road and out Versailles Rd, depending on traffic and time of day. For groups flying in or out together, that stretch is manageable in a single bus but a genuine coordination headache across multiple cars, especially on early-morning departures when the group is scattered across different Richmond and EKU neighborhoods.
Blue Grass Airport is a small, single-terminal airport, which makes group pickups and drop-offs refreshingly simple compared to a big-city hub. Have your group fully assembled with luggage before the bus pulls to the curb — the loading windows at any commercial terminal move fast. A charter bus or minibus keeps the full group on one arrival plan, eliminates the post-baggage-claim car scramble, and gets everyone moving without anyone waiting in a rideshare queue.
Call 859-347-4240 to get started on a Richmond airport shuttle for your travel dates. Check the Blue Grass Airport shuttle guide for more logistics.

Richmond Bachelor & Bachelorette Transportation
The most popular bachelor and bachelorette routes out of Richmond head north on I-75 into Lexington's Distillery District (Manchester St) or the Short Street and Jefferson Street bar corridors downtown — two of the region's densest nightlife zones. Those blocks have essentially zero large-vehicle parking, and paid lots fill by 9 PM on weekends. The Distillery District is a walkable cluster of distilleries, breweries, and bars; the closest lots go quickly on event nights.
A party bus out of Richmond sidesteps both problems. The group loads up at one address, rides together, gets dropped curbside at each stop, and doesn't split into four separate rideshares at 1 AM when surge pricing kicks in — or worse, try to find a designated driver for the 30-minute trip back down I-75. Party buses seating 15 to 40 come with LED lighting, Bluetooth sound, and flat-panel TVs — the vibe is set before you even clear the on-ramp.
Sizes from 15 to 40 passengers are available. Call 859-347-4240 to check availability for your date.

Richmond Birthday, Sweet 16, & Quinceañera Party Bus Rentals
Richmond and Madison County broadly host a significant number of quinceañera and Sweet 16 celebrations each year, and the party bus arrival has become a signature moment for both. Whether the reception venue is in downtown Richmond, out near Lake Reba, or at a banquet hall or country club in the area, a birthday party bus gets the guest of honor there in style without anyone worrying about carpooling or parking at the venue.
For adult milestone birthdays — a 30th, a 40th, a 50th — the route usually involves dinner in downtown Richmond or up in Lexington followed by a night out. Party buses from 18 to 50 passengers are available to compare. Custom itineraries with multiple stops across Richmond and Lexington are easy to build.
Call 859-347-4240 for birthday bus options and same-day quotes.

Richmond Concert Transportation & Shuttles
Richmond has its own marquee stage in the EKU Center for the Arts (1 Hall Dr), which brings touring Broadway, concerts, and comedy right to campus — but many of the region's biggest shows are up in Lexington, which means your group is fighting I-75 traffic both ways unless the bus handles the route. Rupp Arena at Central Bank Center (432 West Vine St, Lexington) hosts arena-level touring artists year-round; the Central Bank Center bus guide has the full drop-off breakdown, but the short version is that a bus cuts out the downtown Lexington parking situation entirely.
For Lexington's smaller and mid-size rooms — Manchester Music Hall and The Burl out in the Distillery District — parking is street-only and fills fast on sold-out nights. A 25- or 30-passenger party bus drops the group at the venue entrance and handles the return so nobody's circling Manchester Street for a spot or splitting into rideshares afterward. Call 859-347-4240 for concert bus pricing.

Richmond Corporate Event Transportation
Richmond's employers — from the EKU campus community to the manufacturing and distribution operations along the I-75 corridor — often need to move teams or clients up to Lexington for a conference, a client dinner, or an offsite. It's close enough that shuttling people into the city makes sense, but far enough that individual parking becomes an expense and a coordination problem at scale.
Central Bank Center (430 W Vine St, Lexington) handles large-scale conferences and trade shows, and downtown Lexington garage parking adds up fast on event days. A corporate charter bus moving a Richmond team to the convention center and back removes that per-car cost and keeps the group on the same schedule — no one arriving 25 minutes late because they circled a garage twice. Minibuses are a smart match for smaller executive groups or client hospitality runs, with overhead storage for presentation materials and enough cabin space to review notes on the way in.
Call 859-347-4240 to discuss corporate shuttle packages.

Richmond Private Event Transportation Services
Family reunions, church retreats, large birthday weekends, and multi-stop group outings all move better on one bus than across a six-car caravan trying to stay together on I-75. Richmond is a natural starting point for full-day itineraries that mix local history with a Lexington night — close enough to central Kentucky's major attractions to hit multiple stops without losing half the day in transit, far enough that a private bus with a pre-planned route actually saves real time versus everyone driving separately.
Popular private event routes out of Richmond include Fort Boonesborough State Park (4375 Boonesboro Rd) for group outings, White Hall State Historic Site (500 White Hall Shrine Rd) for cultural trips, and the Battle of Richmond driving tour for history groups — plus retail and dining days up in Lexington. A private charter bus or minibus keeps the whole group on the same itinerary and the same timeline. Call 859-347-4240 to build a custom private event package.
See the Kentucky Horse Park bus guide for group logistics at one of the region's most-visited destinations.

Richmond Homecoming & Prom Party Bus Rentals
Richmond is home to Madison Central and Madison Southern high schools, plus Model Laboratory School on the EKU campus — all of which hold proms within a tight spring window between late April and mid-May. That compressed calendar means party bus availability across the region gets thin fast, and prices reflect the demand spike.
For prom: book by January. Waiting until March or April typically means either paying peak pricing or finding that the vehicle size your group wants is already gone. A prom party bus booked early locks in your date, your vehicle, and a predictable group rate — split across 20 students, a 4-hour rental often comes out to $40–$60 per person depending on vehicle size.
Homecoming in October — including EKU's own homecoming weekend — is less compressed but still worth booking 6–8 weeks out for the best selection. Call 859-347-4240 as soon as your prom date is confirmed.

Richmond School Event & Field Trip Transportation
Richmond's schools — including Madison Central, Madison Southern, Model Laboratory School, and several elementary and middle campuses — run regular field trips into Lexington and around central Kentucky that involve real logistical complexity: multiple chaperones, varying headcounts, and venues that aren't built for a line of private vehicles trying to drop off at once.
The Kentucky Horse Park (4089 Iron Works Pkwy, Lexington) is a popular field trip destination with organized group and bus access, and the International Museum of the Horse on-site anchors many educational visits. Closer to home, Fort Boonesborough State Park offers living-history programming that draws school groups from across Madison County. A school field trip charter bus with overhead storage, climate control, and onboard restrooms handles the trip without the distraction of pit stops.
ADA-accessible vehicles are available — just mention it when you request your quote. Call 859-347-4240 to confirm availability for your trip date.

Richmond Sporting Event Transportation
Richmond has its own game-day scene with EKU Colonels football at Roy Kidd Stadium and basketball at Alumni Coliseum right on campus — but the region's biggest sporting draws are up in Lexington, about 26 miles north on I-75. On UK Wildcats game days, the interstate and the exits near campus back up significantly, and downtown parking near Rupp Arena disappears fast. Rupp Arena (432 West Vine St) has no large on-site arena lot — patrons use nearby garages and street parking — while Kroger Field on the UK campus fills its tailgating lots hours before kickoff.
A game-day charter bus out of Richmond solves both ends: the group loads at one address, pregame energy builds on the way north, and the return trip is already handled — no rideshare queue, no surge pricing, no one getting separated in the parking lot. The Rupp Arena bus guide and the Kroger Field bus guide have the full drop-off and parking logistics. For a horse-racing day instead, the Keeneland bus guide covers the Spring and Fall Meet crowds.
Call 859-347-4240 for game-day bus pricing, or see the sporting event transportation page for more.

Richmond Wedding Transportation & Shuttle Service
Madison County wedding venues — from restored barns and farms in the countryside to reception halls in and around downtown Richmond and near Lake Reba — are scattered enough that shuttling guests between a hotel block and the ceremony venue is a genuine logistics challenge, especially when the guest list includes out-of-towners who don't know Madison County's road layout or the run up to Lexington.
A Richmond wedding shuttle solves it cleanly: guests load at the hotel, the bus runs timed departure loops to the venue, and nobody misses the ceremony because they got turned around on a rural county road. A 14-passenger Sprinter limo running $225–$350/hour is the right fit for the bridal party on the wedding day itself; a 35-passenger minibus handles guest shuttling between the hotel block and reception. For large weddings with 100+ guests, a charter bus running coordinated loops is both simpler and more cost-effective than a rideshare subsidy.
Book 4–6 months out for spring and fall wedding weekends. Call 859-347-4240 to build a custom wedding transportation plan.

Richmond Winery Tour & Pub Crawl Transportation
Central Kentucky is horse-and-bourbon country, and Richmond is well-positioned to run a full Kentucky Bourbon Trail day without backtracking. A tour out of Richmond can head up to Lexington's in-town stops — Town Branch at Lexington Brewing & Distilling (401 Cross St) and the Distillery District's James E. Pepper and Barrel House — or push farther west to the marquee names like Woodford Reserve in Versailles (about an hour from Richmond) and Buffalo Trace in Frankfort.
Parking at most distilleries and taprooms is small-lot or event-managed, and the whole point of a bourbon tour is that nobody's watching the clock worrying about the drive back down I-75. A Richmond pub crawl party bus stages at each stop, keeps the group together, and handles every transition. The Kentucky Bourbon Trail bus guide maps out popular loops.
Sizes from 15 to 40 passengers available. Call 859-347-4240 to compare options for your tour date.

How much does a party bus cost in Richmond?
It depends on vehicle size, the date, and how many hours you need. As a general planning guide: a 15-passenger party bus runs $200–$350/hour on weekdays; a 25-passenger bus runs $250–$375/hour on weekends; a 40-passenger party bus runs $325–$500/hour on weekend evenings; and a charter bus runs $200–$350/hour. Prices move with demand — prom weekends and major UK game days run toward the top of those ranges.
For the exact number on your trip, fill out the quote form or call 859-347-4240. Pricing comes back in under a minute.
How far is Richmond from Lexington, and how does the bus route work?
Downtown Lexington is roughly 26 miles from Richmond, typically about 30 minutes north on I-75 (Richmond's own access is at Exits 87 and 90). On UK game days and during Keeneland meets, I-75 and the exits near the University of Kentucky back up in the final hour before an event. A charter bus from Richmond typically loads at a single pickup address, moves north on I-75, and follows venue-coordinated approach routes to the drop-off area.
The relevant bus guide for your venue has full drop-off and lot details. Booking 4–6 weeks out is recommended for regular-season games and 2–3 months out for marquee events like the Breeders' Cup.
Can a party bus reach venues in both Richmond and Lexington?
Yes — and this flexibility is one of the main reasons Richmond groups find a bus useful. EKU's Roy Kidd Stadium, Alumni Coliseum, and the EKU Center for the Arts are all right in Richmond, while Rupp Arena, Kroger Field, Keeneland, and the Distillery District are a short run up I-75 in Lexington. A bus handles both without any change in logistics for your group — you just give the pickup and drop-off addresses and the route is handled from there.
What's the best vehicle size for a Richmond wedding shuttle?
It depends on your guest count and how many runs you need to make. For bridal party transportation on the wedding day itself, a 14-passenger Sprinter limo ($225–$350/hour on weekends) is the cleanest fit. For guest shuttles between a hotel block and a venue, a 25–35 passenger minibus running timed departure loops is typically the most efficient configuration.
For weddings with 80+ guests at a single-loop venue, a 40–50 passenger charter bus often works out to a lower per-person cost than running a smaller bus on four separate loops. Call 859-347-4240 to map out the right configuration for your headcount and venue layout.
Is there a bus option for smaller groups of 10–14 people heading out from Richmond?
Yes. A Sprinter van (10–14 passengers) runs $200–$275/hour on weekdays and $225–$375/hour on weekends, making it one of the most cost-effective options for smaller groups. The 14-passenger Sprinter limo steps that up with leather seating, individual reading lights, and tinted windows — ideal for a smaller bachelorette group, a client hospitality run, or a bridal party on wedding day.
Both are easy to compare through the quote form.
How far in advance should I book?
For most Richmond trips — birthdays, bourbon tours, private events — 4–8 weeks of lead time is workable outside of peak periods. But book earlier for: prom season (book by January for late April/May dates), UK football and basketball weekends (book as soon as the schedule releases), Keeneland's Spring and Fall Meets and the 2026 Breeders' Cup (book 2–3 months out), and spring wedding season (book 4–6 months out). The earlier you confirm your date, the better your vehicle selection and the more predictable your rate.
Call 859-347-4240 as soon as your date is set — the quote is free and takes about a minute.
Popular Richmond Party Bus Destinations
Richmond sits right on I-75 in Madison County, which puts it within easy reach of both its own EKU venues and Lexington's best sporting, racing, and entertainment destinations. Here are six popular group destinations Richmond parties regularly book transportation to — with the logistics that matter most for each.

Roy Kidd Stadium (EKU)
Roy Kidd Stadium sits on the Eastern Kentucky University campus in Richmond and seats about 20,000 for EKU Colonels football. On home Saturdays, campus and the surrounding Lancaster Avenue corridor fill with tailgaters, and student and visitor parking near the stadium goes early. A charter bus or party bus from a single Richmond pickup address keeps the whole tailgate crew together, drops at a coordinated campus point, and handles the postgame exit so nobody's hunting for a car in a packed lot.
It's an easy in-town run, which makes it a natural fit for alumni groups and student sections alike. Book 3–4 weeks out for regular-season games and earlier for homecoming weekend.

EKU Center for the Arts
The EKU Center for the Arts (1 Hall Dr, Richmond, KY 40475) is a major performing-arts venue in the region, bringing touring Broadway productions, concerts, ballet, and comedy right to the EKU campus. On show nights, the campus lots near Hall Drive fill up as curtain approaches, and a group arriving in separate cars can end up scattered across the lot and late to their seats. A minibus or party bus delivers the whole group to the entrance together and picks up at the same point after the final bow — no post-show parking-lot reunion required.
Book 2–4 weeks ahead for popular touring dates. Box office: (859) 622-7469.

Rupp Arena at Central Bank Center
Rupp Arena at Central Bank Center (432 West Vine St, Lexington, KY 40507) is home to Kentucky Wildcats basketball and hosts major touring concerts and NCAA events, seating around 20,500 for UK games and up to roughly 23,000 for concerts. It sits in downtown Lexington with no large on-site arena lot — patrons rely on nearby garages like Victorian Square and the High Street and Manchester garages, which fill fast on event nights. From Richmond, the drive runs about 30 minutes north on I-75.
A party bus from Richmond to Rupp Arena drops the group right downtown and eliminates the garage search entirely. For big UK matchups and marquee concerts, book 4–8 weeks out. Phone: (859) 233-3535.

Keeneland Race Course
Keeneland Race Course (4201 Versailles Rd, Lexington, KY 40510) runs its Spring Meet in April and Fall Meet in October and hosts the Breeders' Cup, which returns to Keeneland in 2026. From Richmond, it's about a 40-minute trip northwest via I-75 and New Circle Road. Keeneland offers free public parking in The Hill, Meadow, and Green lots, but on opening weekend, Blue Grass Stakes day, and Fall Meet the approach roads and lots back up well before the first race.
A party bus or charter from Richmond drops your group at the gate, handles the return, and lets everyone enjoy the day without a designated driver. The Keeneland bus guide has race-day logistics. Book early for the Breeders' Cup and opening weekend.
Phone: (859) 254-3412.

Kroger Field (University of Kentucky)
Kroger Field (1540 University Dr, Lexington, KY 40506) is home to UK Wildcats football and seats around 61,000. Tailgating fills the campus Blue & White lots hours before kickoff, and the approach via South Limestone, Cooper Drive, and Alumni Drive compresses on game days. From Richmond, the run up I-75 is about 30 minutes, but the final stretch onto campus slows significantly before a sellout.
A charter bus from Richmond carries the full tailgate group in one vehicle, follows the stadium-directed approach to bus drop-off, and has the return arranged before kickoff. The Kroger Field bus guide covers drop-off and lot details. Book 4–6 weeks out for SEC home games.
See the sporting event page for more.

Fort Boonesborough State Park
Fort Boonesborough State Park (4375 Boonesboro Rd, Richmond, KY 40475) is one of Madison County's signature attractions — a reconstructed pioneer fort with living-history programming, riverfront camping, and space for group outings and reunions, all a short drive from downtown Richmond. On festival weekends and during peak summer programming, the day-use lots see steady traffic. A charter bus or minibus carries the full group in one vehicle, drops at the main entrance, and keeps everyone on the same schedule for the day.
It's an easy local trip that pairs well with a stop at the nearby Battle of Richmond driving tour or White Hall State Historic Site. Book spring and summer weekend dates 3–4 weeks out. Phone: (859) 527-3131.
